WARNING TO THE SMS, ARE A LARGE USE FOR PHISHING COUNTRIES

What if I receive suspicious SMS? In order to avoid any risk, we suggest that anyone who receives this type of message can take simple steps, such as:

  • Do not connect to the site indicated in the text of the message;
  • If you are connected by mistake, do not provide any kind of credentials and / or personal data, do not authenticate;
  • report further suspicious messages to the CERT@posteitaliane.it mailbox;
  • Wait for similar requests, which are not reliable.

PHISHING TENDER BY SMS (SMISHING)

We want to point out an attempt at phishing through cell phones that anonymous fraudsters are trying to accomplish these days. Thanks to the monitoring activities and especially to your reports, a large number of SMS messages (apparently sent by Poste Italiane) have been identified in which the recipients are invited to make a telephone bill for receiving the complimentary telephone credit. A similar attempt, invites recipients to click on a link to download a cover folder.

URGENT TELEGRAM? NO, IT IS A DECEPTION…

In many, we are reporting the reception of e-mails apparently sent by Poste Italiane notifying the receipt of a “phantom” online telegram: the recipients of the mail are invited to read the contents, but in reality – clicking on the proposed link – you starts an “access procedure” whose sole purpose is to convey confidential information that is later used to make scams.

SCAMMERS LURKING, LOOK OUT WITH PHISHING

In these hours we are seeing a large number of deceptive emails that invite recipients to initiate an “upgrade procedure” and provide confidential information by filling in a form provided as an attachment. This is actually a well-designed attempt to scam! Messages appear to have been sent by Poste Italiane and have more or less content of this type:
